- Plugins: We did not cover plugins on this training but I cover them in detail in my "Complete BLISS Course". Plugins help your site function better. Think about them like the handles on your cupboards and door knobs on the door. These are all free and I recommend you install them. Wordpress SEO Yoast, W3 Total Cache, Broken Link Checker, Google Analyticator, these are all free. I use a few paid plugins but these are must have basic blogging plugins to improve the function and "findability" of your blog. To install a plugin, go to your dashboard of your site, click on plugins and "add new" then type the name of the plugin and install. Pretty simple!
- Setup Your Autoresponder: After you get your site up and ready to go, you want to make sure you have a way to capture leads and build a list. Your list is $$$ thus you need a contact management system. I use Mailchimp but for beginners Get Response offers some great and very affordable contact management, landing pages and video training for beginners. Visit GetResponse, Aweber or mailchimp (email marketing). After the first month, Cost: $9-19 per month
