How Many Calories Should I Eat A Day?

How Many Calories Should I Eat?

How Many Calories Should I Eat A Day? Many of us want to know – How Many Calories Should I Eat A Day? .  Today I was doing a silly calorie calculator and thought I would share this info.

I just watched a 19 minute video on body building and why it’s about macro-nutrients and protein instead of calories.  I could not agree more!  Now, I’m not a body builder but I am a middle aged woman who’s metabolism is NOT what it used to be.

I’ve always subscribed to the “healthy eating” philosophy and never counted calories but I have friends who stress about calories, count, recount, obsess etc.  They eat everything “fat free” and drink zero calorie sodas and think they are going to have a healthy metabolism.  This is absolute B.S. and the food industry has taken us for a ride.  It’s pretty obvious, just look at the fact that 70% of us are overweight.

How Many Calories Should I Eat A Day?

We need NUTRIENTS not calories.  Think about it like this…

You wake up and eat nonfat toast with nonfat margarine, drink coffee with nonfat creamer, have a low calorie weight watchers meal for lunch and dinner and snack on a few celery stalks during the day.  You are probably fighting cravings all day and going mad with temptation but you stick with it.  In the mean time your moods swings increase, your body starts storing fat instead of burning it and your metabolism takes to dive but you are committed to losing that Winter weight and NOT going to give up.

This is the hamster wheel many middle aged women are on and it’s maddening.

Get off of it.  Stop counting calories and start considering nutrients.  You hormones will thank you!

Hormonal nutrition is so important for us “aging” woman…men too.  Low calorie diets are fine if they are high in whole food nutrients.  We desperately need all 43 essential nutrients to live a healthy life.  Hormonal nutrients which help our metabolism, libido, aging etc. are Vitamin D, A, K, omega 3’s, and all the B vitamins of course.

As many of you know I’ve always been a proponent of supplementing because, due to over-farming, soil depletion etc. it is almost impossible to get the right amounts of these essential nutrients in our diets anymore but in the last 4 months a small food company has managed to create what I consider the perfectly balanced nutrient meal.  Every serving provides 50% of all 43 essential nutrients, plus fiber, omegas & 25 grams of high quality protein which has a PDCAA score of 93+.  (Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS) is a method of evaluating the protein quality based on both the amino acid requirements of humans and their ability to digest it. The higher the score between 1-100 the better the body can digest it.)  No preservatives are used, no fake additives or artificial flavors etc and they taste great.  Oh, and they are low calorie too.

I have been enjoying 1 YEVO meal a day (Jack and the boys have too) since Feb. and we all feel better.  For me personally, my skin has improved, my energy and clarity is better and this may be a placebo but I’ve struggled with a back injury for 2 1/2 years that I’ve gone to Drs, physical therapy, chiropractor etc and NOTHING has helped but in the past 3 weeks I’ve noticed major pain relief and the ONLY thing I can think is, the nutrients in the YEVO meals are what’s decreasing inflammation and helping my healing process.

Ultimately, my view on supplementing has changed.  Because of YEVO, I now feel that people can get the nutrients they need in the bodies preferred method, FOOD.  This is very exciting as many people hate swallowing pills and are not consistent but we all eat food every day. YEVO is currently in 3 clinical trials with world renowned Drs in obesity, satiety and brain health as well.

If you want more information about YEVO foods please leave a comment below or contact me and I’ll send you ingredients lists, and more information as well as enter you to win a free sample.
